Sawn Cut/Precision Milling
Hardwood flooring is cut in two ways: Sawn or Rotary
Rocky Mountain Wood uses only sawn cut products! This guarantees first quality-milled boards with:
- Deep Clear Color and graining
- Tighter Fitting Planks
- Minimal Life Cycle Cost of Maintenance
- Two-time resurface guarantee
Selecting Your Wood Floor
- 3/4 Solid cutting through the log maintains the depth, richness and unique graining of the wood. Micro-Bevel technology enhances the depth and clarity of each board while minimizing over-wood concerns caused by uneven sub floors. To last a lifetime, solids can be sanded up to three times. 3/4 solid is not recommended for radiant heated floors, concrete substrates, or below grade.
- Sawn Cut Engineered Floors offer enhanced dimensional stability, minimizing gapping caused by the seasonal expansion and contraction of each board. All Rocky Mountain Wood Engineered floors come with a Lifetime Structural Warranty. Unlike many engineered floors, our floors can be sanded a minimum of two times. Engineered floors can also be installed below grade and in other areas that will not allow for 3/4 thickness due to height requirements. Flexibility will also allow for installation over concrete and in some instances, over existing floors.
